Ryoichi sat on his bike, his helmet beside him. He had takoyaki in one hand and was eating it, a chocolate bar in the other. He was trying (And failing) to make conversation with the vendor he had pulled over for. He wasn't really that hungry, but he was feeling peckish... And what better way to sastify that than with some takoyaki, bought the traditional way from a roadside vendor!? A lot of ways, but this was good enough for Ryoichi as he sat and ate.

A quiet enough day. Kakeru had slipped away during his lunch break, something he rarely had a chance to do on Saturdays, since the older officers always managed to rope him into coffee runs before he had a chance to slip out. Having some free time, he decided to go for some takoyaki, knowing of a stand nearby that he'd heard about. Stepping up to the cart, he ordered a single order of takoyaki. As he received his order, he immediately went to try one, and as he swallowed it, glared at the cart owner. "Pardon, sir, but these are terrible. An insult to proper takoyaki. The batter is too thin, so it comes out crispy and flakey instead of deliciously chewy, the chunk of octopus is far too large, overpowering the entire thing, there's no seasoning, resulting in a very bland taste, and this mayonnaise is very low quality. If I were of mind to do so, I could inform the health department and have your rating lowered to suit these terrible balls of nasty you're trying to pass as takoyaki."

Ryoichi was annoyed at that. "Can't you just be quiet and eat? These are perfectly fine, and besides, who the hell are you to judge?" He snapped.

Kakeru turned to face Ryoichi, scowling. "I, sir, am a gourmet AND a member of the Futo police force. The takoyaki aren't just bad, they fall below the minimum quality level for this area, as established by the Futo health department. I would ask that you do your homework before giving an officer lip like that. It could be seen as verbal assault, which is a crime."

Ryoichi took another bite. "So really, you're an overcomplicated picky eater with some augmented form of class, and a member of the Fuuto police?" He replied lazily, standing up. "And if that's verbal assault, I get the feeling there could be a hint of corruption. Stingy about someone actually liking the takoyaki?" He continued tauntingly.

Kakeru's eye twitched as the other person spoke, fairly rudely at that. "You seem to be misinterpreting. These takoyaki are bad. So much so that they are literally breaking the law. I personally don't care if you like them or not, the owner has to either correct the problem, or relocate to a different area of town. It's as simple as that."

Ryoichi was quiet for a bit, sitting down again. He shrugged, quietly spitting out what he was chewing into a small paper bag. He put the rest of the takoyaki in there and threw it away. "I'm sure you know your way around, then."

Kakeru chuckled. "Quite well. The back streets and alleyways of this city are my playground, after all. I know the quickest way to get anywhere in this city."

"Well, I'm sure you also know a much beter takoyaki seller." He continued, smirking.

Kakeru chuckled. "I know a few. And, if he'd allow it, I could help the owner of this stand improve his recipe. It wouldn't really be hard, just minor adjustments here and there to make them perfect, and I could probably quadruple his business."

"Highly likely." He said plainly, pulling out a notepad and a pen, writing some things down quickly, then tearing the page off and handing it to the owner. "Try it out this way, and let's see how it turns out. You should have everything for that, right?"

"Well, Gourmet Keiji-san, let's go find something to eat." Ryoichi said, putting a hand on Kakeru's shoulder.

Kakeru chuckled. "Alright, so what would you like? Chances are, even if there isn't a seller in the area, I can make it."

Ryoichi thought for a moment. "Something sweet, but salty." He said with a smirk.
